General Questions

What is the difference between the Maximize 604 and Relax 404 adjustable bases?

The Maximize 604 and Relax 404 have the same upholstery, heavy duty frame, and head and foot tilt functionality—so what is the difference? The Maximize 604 features two main upgrades from the Relax 404: massage motors and two-piece legs. At the end of the day, choosing between the Maximize 604 and Relax 404 boils down to whether you want Maximize 604 for the massage actions and/or the ability to easily lower the height of your bed by detaching the two-piece legs.

Is the King Maximize 604 two separate sections or one full platform?

The King Maximize 604 ships in two separate sections that you connect together during setup using center brackets. Once assembled, the King unit functions as one full platform. For split King functionality, place two Twin XL units side by side.

Should I get a split King adjustable?

Why would partners choose a split King mattress or adjustable? Usually the reason why is because they have different sleep preferences. One partner may prefer a subtle head tilt. The other partner may prefer the bed to be flat. Another reason for a split King is because one of the partners is fidgety and the separate mattresses help by isolating motion. Read more in our article dedicated to the topic.

How does the adjustable bed work?

The Maximize 604 and Relax 404 come with easy-to-use wireless remotes. Incline the head and foot of your mattress at the touch of a button. Use the memory preset buttons to program your favorite positions. The head and foot sections of both models have individual lift motors. The Maximize 604 has individual massage motors at the head and foot sections.

What is the ideal thickness for an adjustable bed?

Pick a mattress that is 13 inches thick or less for full flexibility. Memory foam and hybrid mattresses work best because they are bendy.

Will an adjustable by The Bed Boss work with my current mattress?

If your current mattress is 13 inches thick or less and of a memory foam or hybrid build, it should function perfectly with your new Bed Boss adjustable. It is possible to use other mattresses with your adjustable, but please note thicker mattresses or mattresses of a different build may not flex as well with the base. To confirm compatibility, you may want to ask the manufacturer or the store you purchased your mattress at.

What is the warranty on Bed Boss adjustables?

All bed frames by The Bed Boss come with a limited 15-year warranty. The first year of the warranty fully covers manufacturing defects for all parts. The next 14 years cover all parts at a prorated cost. Read the full details.

Is an adjustable bed worth the money?

Whether or not an adjustable bed is worth the money to you depends on your sleep preferences and unique needs. A little head tilt in the mattress or a zero gravity position can completely transform the sleep experience and comfort for some individuals. Others may prefer the luxury of easily sitting upright to read or watch T.V. in bed. Read more about why it may very well be worth the money.

Is the massage feature worth it for Maximize 604?

The massage feature activates gentle vibrations across the entire surface of your mattress to ease tension in your body. The wireless remote lets you alternate between constant, pulse, and wave patterns as well as adjust the intensity and speed of the massage. Sound relaxing? It is probably worth it for you.

Do Bed Boss adjustables have zero gravity?

The zero gravity position varies depending on your height and body type. Program your own zero gravity position on Maximize or Relax using one of the memory preset buttons on the remote.

What kind of frame can I use with my memory foam mattress?

The short and sweet answer is: the more supportive, the better. Platform and closely slatted bed frames work best. We have a fantastic article that answers this question in depth!
