FAQ: My Adjustable Bed Stopped Working! What Do I Do?
Updated: May 27
A Guide for our Maximize 604, Relax 404, and Revitalize 204 models.
Has your Bed Boss adjustable bed suddenly stopped working? Don’t panic! Take a deep breath and keep your cool. Bear in mind that most adjustable bed problems can be quickly and easily resolved by a few, simple troubleshooting steps. If you have an issue that can’t be resolved by following this guide, we have our lovely support team available to help. Start with the steps below.
Step One: The Basics
First of all, ensure that your bed is plugged into the wall. How can you find out if your base is receiving power? Look for an illuminated green light on the power transformer box.
Secondly, make sure that you firmly re-attach the connection points all the way from the wall to the lift motor(s).
Check the connections from the wall to the control box. When you check the connection from the power transformer to the control box located underneath the bed, make note of the small black plastic box with a blue button on the wire. Remember the location of this button for troubleshooting steps to follow.
Check the connections from the control box to the individual lift motor(s). Take a moment to closely inspect connections from the control box to the motor(s). To do this, remove the plastic clip covering the motor connection(s) by squeezing its sides. Unplug and replug in the plugs to ensure they are fully seated in the control box. Finish by putting the plastic clip back into place. See the video below for a demonstration.
Don’t underestimate re-securing the connections from the motor(s) to the control box! A loose plug is often the number one cause for a head (or foot) motor that isn’t responding.
Step Two: Remote Sync
If your bed suddenly stops working, this usually means that the remote has lost its sync to the control box. What an easy fix! Remote sync instructions vary based on your model of bed. Consult your manual for exact instructions.
The blue reset button you found in the previous step will come in handy now. Depending on your model of bed, you will need to press and hold two buttons on your remote while pressing the blue reset button. Upon successful synchronization, you should hear a triumphant tune from your control box! You may now test your bed for functionality.
