I Need to Sleep On It Tonight. What Do I Do?

Waiting on warranty support or a replacement part, but need to lower your bed tonight? It’s an easy fix.

First, try pressing the blue emergency reset button on the side of the control box OR the control box extension cord. This button should automatically flatten the base.

If the emergency reset button doesn’t work, you can manually lower your bed by following the steps below. It will take the stress off the motors and let you get a good night’s rest.

How to Manually Lower the Head of the Bed When Stuck Upright

Recommended number of people: 2

Time required: 5 minutes

Step 1. Remove excess weight from the adjustable frame, including the mattress.

Step 2. Ask your helper to firmly hold the head of the bed in place.

Step 3. Examine the stuck lift motor and notice the pins at either end of the motor holding it in place. You will only need to remove one of these pins.

Step 4. Place one hand on the motor to hold it. This will prevent it from falling sharply when you remove the bolt. Remove one pin. Remove the bolt. Gently drop the lift motor to the floor.

Step 5. Reinsert the bolt into the motor and attach the pin to avoid losing the pieces.

Step 6. Assist your helper in gently lowering the head of the bed to the flat position.

Step 7. Lastly, replace your mattress. You can now sleep in the flat position tonight!
